 Product Description

This kit includes 3 complete 1969 vintage style Stratocaster® Pickup Bobbins including all hardware and covers. All bobbins are pre-assembled and ready for winding. (Magnet wire is NOT included in this kit, and must be purchased separately)

This is one of our best selling kits. This was the year that helped usher in the sounds of Jimi Hendrix and Woodstock. This kit comes with 0.187 in diameter Alnico V vintage stagger polepiece magnets with optional flat top or vintage bevel. Typically wound with a plain enamel-coated magnet wire, this set works well with effects pedals.   

 

Each vintage style bobbin includes: 

  • Vintage correct vulcanized fiber work (grey bottom flatwork 0.093",black top flatwork 0.062")
  • Eyelets made specifically for soldering (eyelet lip is on bottom side only providing smooth, snag-free winding)
  • 0.187" Alnico V vintage staggered sand cast polepice magnets with flat or vintage bevel top
    E: 0.671  A: 0.671  D: 0.710  G: 0.710  B: 0.630  e: 0.650 
  • Pickup height tension (your choice of conical spring or rubber tubing)
  • Pickup height adjustment screws (your choice of black oxide, chrome, gold or nickel)
  • Pickup covers (your choice of black, white or cream)
  • Orientation (your choice of left handed or right handed stagger)
  • Vintage style push-back wire
  • Holes for pickup tension screws come pre-tapped to accept a standard 6-32 thread
  • Optional product box with custom foam inserts

    I was a little unsure of this at first because of the price, ( cheaper than what I am used to paying) but was pleased when I rec'd them. Quality construction and components. These are definitely the ones I will be purchasing from now on. I really like the fact you can have your company logo stamped into the bottom. Great job, guys...

    This set for Strats is the best I've used - I have built a lot of custom pups but have yet to find a better quality and workmanship than the Tone Craft - if you make pups for resale do yourself a favour and buy these - they will raise your quality 100% . B Curtis - Curtis Custom Guitars Canada

    I ordered a few '69 sets in order to use them on my GAStone pickup model line, which covers the tone of that era's "Hendrix-esque" sound.
    The delivery was excellent, all sets came in their carton box with proper foam inserts!
    Measuring the rod field on ALL bobbins that I received (30 pcs!), I was surprised by the homogeneity of the field along each bobbin, a fact that is crucial for keeping consistency on the pickups and keeps the staggering into sense!
    Apropos staggering, I ordered all '69 sets with custom staggering, which worked perfect on the first pickups that I already made with these kits!
    The coils have the designed specs in terms of DC resistance, Capacitance and Inductance, and the frequency curve is also as designed. Thus, the sound and dynamics are superb!!!
    All-in-all 100% satisfaction up to now on these kits!
    I feel that Tone Kraft is becoming my strategic partner in terms of material supply!!!!
    Kudos to all of the people there!!!
