Product Description
This kit includes 3 complete 1954 vintage style Stratocaster® Pickup Bobbins including all hardware and covers. All bobbins are pre-assembled and ready for winding. (Magnet wire is NOT included in this kit, and must be purchased separately)
This was the year that Leo Fender and Freddie Tavares's iconic design would shape generations of musicians to come. Now you can recreate that vintage tone from 1954. Comes with vintage style staggered polepieces.
Each vintage style bobbin includes:

Vintage correct black vulcanized fiber work (bottom flatwork 0.093", top flatwork 0.062")

Eyelets made specifically for soldering (eyelet lip is on bottom side only providing smooth, snag-free winding)

0.195" Alnico 3 vintage staggered sand cast flat or vintage bevel top polepiece magnets
E: 0.671 A: 0.671 D: 0.710 G: 0.671 B: 0.630 E: 0.650 -
Pickup height tension (your choice of conical spring or rubber tubing)

Pickup height adjustment screws (your choice of black oxide, chrome, gold or nickel)

Pickup covers (your choice of black, white or cream)

Orientation (your choice of left handed or right handed stagger)

Vintage style push-back wire

Holes for pickup tension screws come pre-tapped to accept a standard 6-32 thread

Optional product box with custom foam inserts

I have wound a few sets of these and love the consistency I get from Tone-Kraft! What you get is far higher quality than any other "kit pickup" I have tried.
One thing to watch out for with A3 is it is very sensitive to winding style, wire and how many turns. Maybe because the magnet is weaker it makes all the other variables that much more important.
I also use this pickup for the neck of my mixed "signature set".

You can't find a complete kit like this anywhere at this price. I didn't have any issues with this kit, and the pickups turned out great! The super smooth and solid bobbins wound up very nicely.

If you're a fan of the 50's tone, this is it. The Alnico3 magnets with heavy formvar wire are a match made in heaven.
The clean tone is superb, and the mild overdrive is sweet and
melodic. Keep in mind that they are not suitable for high gain.
As always a top product from Tone-Kraft. Recommended!!
