Product Overview
This kit includes 3 complete 1959 vintage style Stratocaster® pickup bobbins including all hardware and covers. All bobbins are pre-assembled and ready for winding. (Magnet wire is NOT included in this kit, and must be purchased separately)
These bobbins are similar to the 1954 kit except the Alnico 3 magnets from the early 50's era are now replaced with Alnico 5 for 1959. Comes with vintage style staggered polepieces.
These are the same style pickups that were stock in SRV’s 62/63 “Number One”, and used on all 5 of his studio albums.
Each vintage style bobbin includes:

Vintage correct black vulcanized fiber work (bottom flatwork 0.093", top flatwork 0.062")

Eyelets made specifically for soldering (eyelet lip is on bottom side only providing smooth, snag-free winding)

0.195" Alnico V vintage staggered sand cast beveled top polepiece magnets with flat, vintage or modern bevel top

Pickup height tension (your choice of conical spring or rubber tubing)

Pickup height adjustment screws (your choice of black oxide, chrome, gold or nickel)

Holes for pickup tension screws come pre-tapped to accept a standard 6-32 thread
