This kit includes 1 complete set of vintage '60s Precision Bass® style Pickup Bobbins (2 bobbins). All bobbins are pre-assembled and ready for winding. (Magnet wire is NOT included in this kit, and must be purchased separately)
*Pickup covers are optional. Please note that our Jazz Bass and Precision Bass covers are imported. Fender covers will fit our product perfectly.
Each vintage style bobbin includes:

Vintage correct vulcanized fiber work (black flatwork 0.093" or grey flatwork 0.093" your option)

Eyelets made specifically for soldering (eyelet lip is on bottom side only providing smooth, snag-free winding)

0.187" or 0.195" Alnico 5 flush mounted sand cast polepiece magnets with vintage style bevel (your option).

Vintage style push-back wire

I like buying the bobbins ready to wind. I have problems getting the magnets into the flatwork so I find it more convenient. These are well put together and work well.

The first P-Bass kits arrived already over a month ago, however I managed to get my first completed pickups about just a week ago. The results are pretty stunning in terms of sound and accuracy compared to the designed specs.
The only thing I have to complaitn is that the bobbins are not very tight mounted on the magnet rods, so on my higher output model (more windings), the flatwork base on one coil got lose, I had to re-mount it again. To my opinion, this might be random, I don't expect to observe this again, especially when taken into consideration that I've never seen this so far on strat bobbins.
But, as claimed above, all in all the result is excellent!

I got the pickups last week and would them up. The pickups I recieved were everything I wanted and they looked great. I love the look of the covers too! Very happy with my purchase and I look forward to doing more business with Tone-Kraft!
