 Product Description

Includes (1) vintage Mustang®/Musicmaster® Style Pickup Bobbin pre-assembled and ready for winding. (Magnet wire is NOT included in this kit, and must be purchased separately)

Basically, a Straocaster® style single coil pickup (will fit most Strat® style guitars). This bobbin is designed to closely match the unique "short" flush pole mounted vintage Mustang® style guitar pickups. This guitar was played by artists from Johnny Winter to Kurt Cobain. You're in pretty good company with these bobbins. 

 

Each vintage style bobbin includes: 

  • Vintage correct vulcanized fiber work (grey bottom flatwork 0.093",black top flatwork 0.062")
  • Eyelets made specifically for soldering (eyelet lip is on bottom side only providing smooth, snag-free winding)
  • 0.187" Alnico 5 vintage flush mount sand cast polepiece magnets with vintage bevel (inversed)

  • Tapping is also available for bobbins that require pickup height adjustment screws. Our shop is equipped with precision drill guides to ensure perfectly straight and consistent taps

  • Engraving  Add a real professional touch to your pickups by engraving. Have your logo or custom text engraved on each bobbin (requires art work or font file to be used). Click Here for more details. 
  • Polepiece Aging   Give your pickups that real vintage vibe and add polepiece aging.  note: magnet aging is strictly cosmetic, no heating or other methods are used.
